What a great day, and what a great group effort! Plus we had perfect weather on Saturday May 27th for the fun visit with our friends and neighbours from another bowling club.
Thanks to Mike Skinner who came early and rolled the green it was running well, and we had lots of compliments on the great shape that it’s in. Inside the clubhouse looked great upon arrival too as Martha had things well organized with set up done by The MacArthur’s and The Bakshi’s. Outside looked smart and festive with all our flags flying, and equipment set in place by Tony Numans, Vinod Bakshi and Frank Stock.
At our between game break everyone enjoyed the delicious samosas that Rob and Vinod Bakshi generously provided. Tasty bars, and refreshments were served up by Heidi Hendess, Gloria Woolfrey, Martha McArthur and Sharron Lyons.
Finishing the dishes when we went back out to bowl were Corrie Brawley and Linda Higgins. Judy & Mike Skinner sold lots of 50/50 tickets, and the draw was done during Happy Hour after the second break.
Linda Higgins had Judy’s assistance in the bar, and a good crowd stayed for after game drinks. In a great flurry of activity, many members put everything away at day’s end. As I said, a “great group effort” by our volunteers. Thank you everybody!
