Victoria Day Fun

It may have been a bit cool (cold actually), for our Victoria Day Fun Day, but 49 bowlers still turned out for it, plus we were pleased that some of our Social members joined us for dessert at lunchtime.

Thank you to all who came early to set up everything outside, including creating “The River”: Ron Mulhern, Gaston Essiambre, Tony Numans, Dianne Brynjolfson, Rob Bakshi, Vinod Bakshi, and Olive Anderson.

Carol Hartnett collected your entry fees, and the draw masters were Gaston and Dianne.

Busy inside were volunteers who did everything from setting up tables & chairs, making tea & coffee, cutting & serving cake, and doing the kitchen clean up. They were Gerry & Martha McArthur, Olive Anderson, Heidi Hendess, Corrie Brawley, and Rosella Moloughney.

During Happy Hour, Tom Akam and Wolf Renner sold 50/50 tickets, and we were happy to see novice Shelley Onofrechuk win 1st place! Meanwhile Anne Prentice and Pat Macdonald were busy tending bar. Many helped put all the flags and equipment away outside, and many helped tear down the tables and chairs. Thank you all!

And many thanks to our Sponsor, the Family of Anne Currie, for there was extra prize money to be won. Eight prizes were awarded for each game, including 2 Wild Card draws in each, and one for the team from each game with the “Worst Luck”.

Here’s a few pictures of the day…..34 to be exact!

We hope to see even more of our novices joining us for Canada Fun Day, Saturday July 1st.

Save the date!
