Mann Park’s popular Men’s Triples Inter-club Competition played May 15th. The tournament was full with 16 teams representing 9 clubs. Due to the extreme weather, a vote was taken at lunch and the men chose to have the prizes awarded based on the morning games.
Three Mann Park teams were entered and the MP team skipped by Stan Turner, with Richard Chia as vice and Gaston Essiambre playing lead, took first place. A Maple Ridge team placed 2nd, with 3rd & 4th places going to Richmond teams. In spite of the poor weather it was a successful event, and the men were very appreciate of the quality of pre game food & coffee, and dessert at lunch provided by the ladies in the kitchen lead by Martha McArthur and Sharron Lyons.
