Hello Fellow Bowlers
Last month we announced that MPLB would be holding a 50/50 draw over the summer. After a slight delay, we are ready to go!
50/50 draws have traditionally brought in over $1000 income annually to Mann Park. During the pandemic, however, with no competitions or socials, we have been unable to hold our usual 50/50 draws.
Our members love the chance to win some cash and have always supported our draws…and we thank you for that. So, following the successful protocol of local curling clubs, Mann Park LBC will be holding a socially distanced 50/50 draw throughout the summer months.
This is how it will work:
- $20 will get you 10 tickets and 40 chances to win – you can win multiple times
- There will be 4 separate draw dates: July 12, August 2, August 23 and September 13. The lucky number will be drawn at 1 PM on each date at the club.
- As an example, if the club is able to sell 50 sets of tickets ($20 each) there will be $500 divided among four lucky winners ($125 each draw) and $500 for the club.
- The lucky number and name of the winner will be posted on the website and each winner will be contacted by telephone.
Tickets go on sale in the entranceway of the Club, beginning June 25. CASH ONLY. Ticket sales will end July 9. A locked mailbox has been mounted on the inside of the equipment shed door
Please bring your $20 in an envelope with your name and phone number on it. Bring in $40 if you want to double your chances. Each person will then be assigned 12 tickets by the fundraising chair and all numbers will be entered into the draw each week.
